The StaffDoctors
Practice Manager
Ian Milton, the Practice Manager, is responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of the practice. If you have any comments, suggestions or complaints he will be pleased to help you.
Receptionists
The practice employs a team of reception, secretarial and administration staff to help you make appointments, answer queries and deal with administration. All our staff are committed to a high level of customer service. Whatever the problem, we will try to assist and will certainly know who to ask if we cannot deal with it personally.
Practice Nurses
We have practice nurses who deal with general nursing matters such as blood tests, dressings,
vaccinations, ear-syringing, routine injections, cervical smears, monitoring
blood pressure, removal of stitches etc. They also do travel jabs, well-woman
and well-man checks, medication checks, new patient checks, give advice on weight
loss, diabetes and asthma management and assist doctors with their clinics.
District Nurses
The community nursing sisters and their team visit housebound patients needing
nursing care. There is regular contact with the patient’s doctor. Messages
can be left for the nurses by telephoning 01892 547744.
Health Visitor
Our health visitor is specifically trained in the care of young families and the elderly and can be contacted by telephone on 01892 524673 for help and advice between 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday. When she is out, a receptionist is available to take a message. She also runs various children’s clinics around the area and will also visit families at home by arrangement.
Midwives
Karen Little and Chrissie Wade, the community midwives attached to our
practice, liaise with the patient’s doctor and their medical colleagues
where necessary, and are responsible for patients’ antenatal care. They
also run clinics at the surgery, on Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon. |
